Hey, I’m working on a documentary on Frankenstein. That’s probably not the title.
This project starts with the premise that, if Mary Shelley is 21 years old when she publishes her novel, Frankenstein, why do i see so many illusions to feminism, race and colonialism? She’s 16-ish when she tells this story around the hearth one stormy night in Geneva and literary giants of her time attest it was horrific and spectacular.
What’s going on in Frankenstein, and what’s lost erasing this young lady’s voice?
